WMAHU Presidents BLOG

WMAHU is changing things up a little bit and our September kick off meeting will be for membership only.  We want to thank you for your commitment and membership and we want to hear from you!   During this private event, we will introduce you to the Board and to our ideas and initiatives for making WMAHU stronger both in membership and in programming.  This year will have a focus on topics that truly impact our industry and our livelihoods.  Many of these meetings will be for members only and we will be working to increase participation in our organization.

This will be a ‘Town Hall’ meeting where we will ask for your opinions and feedback and we will ask all of our members to mobilize to help the cause.   NAHU is working hard in Washington on behalf of all of us and they need all of us to take a greater role and commitment.  Steve Selinsky (NAHU President) and Patrick Pennefather (State Legislative Chair) will be an honored guest as well.  He will speak to his personal efforts and the involvement at the state and national level of Health Underwriters as well as efforts and involvement of others within the state and national boards.  This is a great opportunity to meet and provide feedback to local leaders also making a difference.

Immediately following our “Meet the Board” session, we will break for a Happy Hour to appreciate you, the members.  Now is the time to make the most of your commitment to WMAHU and meet with local, state and national partners.  Please join us on Thursday, September 23rd at 3:30-4:30pm for the business portion of this private event, followed by a meet and mingle from 4:30-6:30 at Frederick Meijer Gardens .  Official registration will be open shortly on our website and another email will be sent out at that time.
Any nonmembers are encouraged to become members!  There are plenty of opportunities and ways to do this – at our golf outing on August 25th, online at www.wmahu.org, by contacting a local WMAHU board member or at any future meetings.
We look forward to seeing everyone at upcoming events!
